Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the PeakBites apps and website. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them — they are short and written to be understood.

What PeakBites is

PeakBites is a marketplace. It connects you with restaurants running peak-hour campaigns: limited-time offers on their Top 3 best-selling dishes, at a discount, for pickup only. The restaurant prepares and sells the food. PeakBites provides the platform that lets you find the offer, place the order, and pay.

Your account

  • Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One account per person. Do not share accounts or create accounts for others.

You can sign in with email and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Settings.

Orders & payment

Prices, discounts, and availability are set at the moment you place your order, and are computed on our servers — what you see at checkout is what you pay. You can pay online through Stripe, or in cash when you collect your order. PeakBites never stores your card numbers.

When you place an order, you enter into a contract with the restaurant for that food. PeakBites facilitates the order but is not the seller.

Pickup

PeakBites is pickup only — there is no delivery. Collect your order during the pickup window stated in the app. When your order is ready, the app shows a pickup code; show it at the counter so the restaurant knows the order is yours.

Cancellations & refunds

  • You can cancel from the app while an order is still pending.
  • Once the restaurant has started preparing your order, contact the restaurant directly or email support@peakbites.app.
  • Refunds for online payments are returned to the original payment method.

Restaurant partners

Restaurants on PeakBites agree to keep their menus and prices accurate, to honour the discounts and portion limits they list, and to fulfil orders during their campaign windows. Food preparation, hygiene, and safety are the restaurant's responsibility as the business preparing and selling the food.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use PeakBites for fraud, or place orders you do not intend to collect;
  • abuse promotions, discounts, or referral offers;
  • scrape, copy, or harvest data from the apps or website;
  • interfere with the service, other customers, or restaurant partners.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Availability & changes

Campaigns are time-limited and portions are capped, so offers can end or sell out before you order. Restaurants can close temporarily or end a campaign early. We may update the apps, add or remove features, and update these terms; if we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.

Liability

PeakBites is provided as-is. We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. PeakBites is not the seller of the food: claims about the food itself — its preparation, quality, or safety — are matters between you and the restaurant, though we will help where we can.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
